  Helping those in need ...
In Ethiopia, there are over a million children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Many of these children have to contend with the loss of their parents and the responsibility of caring for younger siblings. That was why P2P identified the orphans issue as one of the areas where it could make contributions.

Targeting Women:
  combating HIV/AIDS-related stigma project
This was a one-year project funded by The Ontario Trillium Foundation. The goal of the project is to reduce HIV incidence in the community and to create a supportive environment for People Living with HIV/AIDS. The objective is to change attitude about HIV/AIDS, to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS, to promote safer sexual practices among the target group and to empower women by building essential life skills. Sisters for Sisters Forum: The objective of the forum is to engage the target group with discussion around HIV/AIDS and stigma and to increase target group participation in community efforts to combat stigma. The first forum took place on April 29, 2006 at the East York Civic Centre.
