People to People AID Organization (Canada) Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization set up in 1999 by a group of concerned individuals with diverse professional backgrounds to contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Since its founding in 1999, People to People Aid Organization (P2P Canada) has pursued two major objectives -- working hard to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in our communities in the Greater Toronto Area and providing support for those affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Ethiopia.
Be a Child Sponsor
One of the most devastating consequences of the pandemic has been the rapid rise in the number of children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. In Ethiopia, there are over a million children orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
Many of these children have to contend with the loss of their parents and the responsibility of caring for younger siblings.
P2P currently assists 108 children orphaned because of HIV/AIDS.
P2P covers their living expenses and ensures that these children attend school.
P2P also has launched a sponsorship program and you could become one of the sponsors for $1.00 per day.
P2P Events
P2P achieved all its accomplishments largely through community fund-raising and the support of community businesses.
There are annual fund raising events and conferences through out the year. Make an effort to attend one of the events and you will be happy you did.
Together we could Make a Difference
Your support will no doubt enhance P2P's organization's ability to extend its reach among victims of HIV/AIDS and undertake preventive educational activities in the Greater Toronto Area.

This was a one-year project funded by The Ontario Trillium Foundation. The goal of the project is to reduce HIV incidence in the community and to create a supportive environment for People Living with HIV/AIDS. The objective is to change attitude about HIV/AIDS, to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS, to promote safer sexual practices among the target group and to empower women by building essential life skills.
Sisters for Sisters Forum:
The objective of the forum is to engage the target group with discussion around HIV/AIDS and stigma and to increase target group participation in community efforts to combat stigma. The first forum took place on April 29, 2006 at the East York Civic Centre.
